Color Scheme Details

1. Analogous

2-3 hues adjacent on the color wheel (angle ≤ 60°, e.g., "Red - Orange - Yellow", "Blue - Cyan - Green").

Contrast Level: Low contrast, soft and unified visually

Suitable Scenarios: Natural scenes, retro styles, designs needing a harmonious atmosphere

2. Triadic

3 hues distributed in an "equilateral triangle" on the color wheel (120° angle on 12-color wheel, e.g., "Red - Yellow - Blue", "Orange - Green - Purple").

Contrast Level: Medium contrast, rich but not cluttered colors

Suitable Scenarios: Children's designs, packaging, scenes needing vibrancy without harshness

3. Split Complementary

1 primary hue + 2 adjacent hues next to its direct complement (e.g., "Primary Red → Complement Green → Adjacent Cyan-Green + Yellow-Green").

Contrast Level: Medium contrast, softer than pure complementary, more layered than analogous

Suitable Scenarios: Clothing matching, interior design, designs needing balance between richness and harmony

4. Complementary

2 hues with 180° angle on the color wheel (e.g., "Red - Green", "Yellow - Purple", "Blue - Orange").

Contrast Level: High contrast, strongest visual impact

Suitable Scenarios: Warning signs, poster titles, need to control area ratio (avoid 5:5 split)

5. Rectangle / Tetradic

4 hues distributed in a "rectangle" on the color wheel, essentially a combination of two complementary pairs (e.g., "Red - Green" + "Blue - Orange").

Contrast Level: High

Suitable Scenarios: Multi-color illustrations, holiday designs, need to pay attention to "clear primary-secondary relationship"

6. Monochromatic

Only 1 hue used, with variations in "saturation" and "lightness" (e.g., "Dark Red - Red - Pink - Light Red").

Contrast Level: No "hue contrast", only distinguished by lightness/saturation

Suitable Scenarios: Minimalist styles or highlighting content itself (e.g., UI interfaces, typography)
