📜 Origin & History
The history of Ferrari Red originates from early 20th-century motor racing. To distinguish national racing teams, FIA assigned red to Italy, stemming from classic paintwork of early Italian racers like Alfa Romeo. Red thus became Italy’s national racing symbol.
Enzo Ferrari established bond with red back in the 1920s as an Alfa Romeo driver. When founding his own racing team, he naturally inherited this tradition and gradually brightened and warmed the tone to find the perfect visual language representing prancing horse’s speed and passion.
After World War II, Ferrari Red dominated racetracks, known as Rosso Corsa. This color represented victory and also marked the revival of Italian industrial aesthetics, drawing red lightning across Monza Circuit and Le Mans.
From the 1990s to 21st century, adjusted to #FF2800 bright warm red to suit TV broadcasting and printing. It shines brilliantly under sunlight and maintains high recognition on cloudy days and night races.
Today, Ferrari Red transcends automobiles and becomes a totem of luxury lifestyle. Upon seeing this bright warm red, people instantly associate it with sunshine over the Apennine Peninsula, roaring engines and pinnacle mechanical aesthetics.
