📜 Origin & History
RAL 5000 Violet Blue marks the starting point of the blue-violet spectrum within the German RAL color system. Established in 1927 by the German Reich Committee for Quality Standards, RAL originally served industrial coatings and powder paints. During Germany's post-WWII reconstruction, extensive machinery and steel-framed factory buildings adopted violet blue as the standard protective coating.
